Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. is seeking an EHS Coordinator to support safety operations on a large Life Sciences construction project in Kankakee, IL.

The role involves daily field safety activities, documentation, inspections, and coordination with contractors and project personnel. The ideal candidate will be organized, detailed, and comfortable in a busy construction environment, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and maintain safety records and training

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction safety experience.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Ability to communicate effectively with field personnel and management.
• Able to work on an active construction site.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Safety Manager and project safety team with daily safety activities.
• Conduct routine jobsite safety observations, inspections, and documentation.
• Monitor OSHA compliance and site safety policies.
• Assist with safety paperwork, reports, logs, and tracking.
• Maintain safety records and training documentation.
• Coordinate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and orientations.
• Track safety credentials and documentation.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and communicate corrective actions.
• Support incident and near-miss documentation and follow-up.
• Maintain SDS documentation and safety records.
• Work with field supervision and subcontractors to promote safe work practices.
