Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Elyria, OH is seeking an EH&S Manager onsite to lead safety, health, and environmental programs.

You will drive world-class EHS culture, coordinate audits, and coordinate training to ensure annual certifications and safe work practices across the plant. You will serve as the main interface with OSHA, EPA, and other agencies, manage industrial hygiene studies, and help ensure conformance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, or related field.
• Minimum of five years' experience in heavy manufacturing with EHS programs.
• Detailed knowledge of OSHA regulations and EPA regulations.
• Practical experience implementing ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and cultivate an exceptional EHS culture within the division to achieve world-class safety performance.
• Develop and coordinate internal auditing processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Deliver and track EHS training for all plant employees to ensure safety certifications and procedures.
• Serve as lead interface with OSHA, EPA, and other agencies.
• Manage industrial hygiene surveys or studies to identify and control stressors.
• Liaise with global property insurer to address recommendations and requirements.
