Job summary

RTX in Decorah, IA seeks a motivated student for an EH&S co-op, onsite, to implement and maintain the EH&S management system and support the site EH&S generalist. You will gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes and safety programs in a dynamic environment.

Learn to develop strategies that drive continuous EH&S improvement, support site projects, and work with contractors. Must be enrolled in Industrial/Mechanical Eng or related STEM and commit to the co-op duration.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related STEM field.
• Actively enrolled in a degree program throughout the duration of the co-op session.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) management system and programs.
• Provide critical EH&S support to the site EH&S generalist, ensuring all site actions are completed promptly and safely.
• Assist in developing strategies and policies to drive continuous improvement in EH&S.
• Support site projects and contractor safety programs.
• Gain an understanding of the site's processes and equipment, identify relevant hazards, and ensure associated risks are maintained at acceptable levels.
