Job summary

KIPP DC is seeking an Early Childhood Dedicated Aide to support students with special needs in a fully in-person setting at a Washington, DC campus. The role focuses on implementing IEP-backed strategies, assisting with daily activities, and collaborating with teachers to ensure safe, engaging classrooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Commitment to working with students from communities with limited access to high-quality educational opportunities.
• Ability to assist reading, writing, and mathematics instruction.
• Strong communication skills with families and caregivers, including culturally responsive partnership.
• Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to new tasks.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting, affirming relationships with students, families, and teammates.
• Provide individualized behavior and academic supports to improve achievement of IEP goals.
• Attend MDT meetings with the student support team and teachers as needed.
• Support dedicated aides in implementing strategies and maintaining classroom routines.
