Job summary

KIPP DC is seeking an Elementary School Dedicated Aide to support students with special needs and implement IEP-driven strategies within a full-time, on-site role at a KIPP DC campus in Washington, DC.

As part of the team, you will work closely with teachers, families, and the school community, providing data-driven supports, crisis-prevention training, and a nurturing learning environment aligned with KIPP DC’s mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Commitment to working with students from communities with limited access to high-quality educational opportunities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to assist reading, writing, and mathematics instruction

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in ensuring safe environments and instructional opportunities that meet diverse learners' needs.
• Assist in implementing strategies outlined in a child’s IEP.
• Help with personal hygiene, toileting, meals and daily activities when applicable.
• Monitor student progress by collecting data and maintaining confidentiality.
