Job summary

KIPP DC Public Schools is looking for a Dedicated Aide to support students with special needs across the school day. The role requires on-site presence at a KIPP DC campus in Washington, DC, with duties including implementing IEP-based supports, data collection, and collaboration with teachers, families, and MDT members.

The Dedicated Aide will work closely with school leaders and the lead teacher, maintaining confidentiality and adapting to changes in student needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate with families and caregivers.
• Willingness to adapt to changing student needs.
• Knowledge of reading, writing, and mathematics instruction.
• Demonstrated flexibility in a dynamic school environment.
• Experience as an aide in urban K–12 setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with students, families, and teammates to support an inclusive classroom culture.
• Provide individualized behavioral and academic supports aligned to IEP goals.
• Assist with daily activities such as toileting, meals, and transitions as needed.
• Monitor progress by collecting data and supporting planning for small groups.
