Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Drilling Operations Supervisor for a site near Welkom, Free State. The role requires hands-on field leadership to oversee drilling crews, equipment, and procedures, while ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

You will coordinate with geology and reservoir teams, manage inventory, and drive daily safety and performance reporting. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 7 years in drilling operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role,

Qualifications

7+ years in drilling operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Proven onshore drilling experience and ability to manage crews in field conditions.
Strong knowledge of drilling equipment, safety procedures, and well control concepts.

Responsibilities

Supervise on-site drilling operations, ensuring adherence to programs and procedures.
Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
Provide leadership, training, and performance feedback to drilling crews.
Oversee equipment operation and maintenance for readiness and safety.
Monitor drilling parameters and well conditions to maintain stability and efficiency.
