Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in customer yards. You will operate a company service truck and use advanced diagnostic tools in a fast-paced field role.

Qualified candidates have at least 3 years of hands-on diesel experience, strong communication skills, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on diesel tech experience on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise.
• Strong communication skills with customers and drivers.
• Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools.
• Ability to work independently in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance and DOT inspections in a mobile field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
• Handle emergency roadside service calls with urgency.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet quality standards.
• Use hand/power tools and welding equipment as needed.
