Job summary

Apexon is hiring a DevOps Engineer for an onsite role in Austin, TX. The candidate will manage CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud infrastructure using AWS, Jenkins, Git, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

The role requires 5+ years in DevOps or related fields, strong scripting skills, and experience with on-call support and release management. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, build and release management, or software configuration management.
• 2–3 years of hands-on cloud experience with AWS.
• Strong experience developing and maintaining Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Java/J2EE and IBM WebSphere.
• Strong knowledge of Git and source control management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automated build and deployment processes.
• Manage source control and support application environment configurations.
• Troubleshoot IBM WebSphere, build, deployment, and environment-related issues.
• Ensure adherence to release management standards and deployment procedures.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve deployment reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance on cloud infrastructure, platform operations, and service reliability.
• Support production environments and participate in on-demand on-call rotations.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, deployment consistency, and operational performance.
• CI/CD pipelines supporting multi-release builds, testing, security scanning, packaging, and deployment workflows.
• Automated build and deployment processes with validated environment configurations.
