Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Desktop Engineer Intern to deliver hands-on, onsite IT support and help keep end-user devices running smoothly. You will join the internal IT support team and collaborate with staff on site at Cognizant offices.

You will configure devices, troubleshoot hardware and printer issues, and contribute to SOP updates and new process documentation as part of a 9–12 month internship. Start date is October 2026, with an onsite five-day work week in Hooksett, NH.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year accredited college pursuing a STEM major.
• Available to work part-time, 20 hours per week onsite.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between HQ and Retail locations as required.
• High level of quality and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support for basic hardware issues with desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Provide onsite support for printer-related issues and requests, including label, mobile, receipt printers and toners.
• Configure new desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals per SOPs.
• Review knowledge base and SOPs, update outdated SOPs and create SOPs for new processes.
