Job summary

The Marvin Group, a defense contractor in Southern California near LAX, seeks a Desktop Technician to manage moves, migrations, and day-to-day IT issues onsite in Inglewood. You will support end users, install software/hardware, reimage systems, and track issues in the ticketing system.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of relevant experience, PC hardware knowledge, Windows 11 and Office familiarity, Active Directory, antivirus, and basic network concepts.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• PC hardware knowledge.
• Basic Windows 11 Enterprise knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
• Knowledge of Anti-Virus software.
• Basic knowledge of network topology concepts.
• Must be able to speak/read/write English.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assists end users in resolving hardware and software issues by fielding calls, email, HelpDesk tickets, and visits to diagnose issues.
• Performs moves/adds/changes to PCs and handles physical moves.
• Installs software and hardware; performs reimaging.
• Documents and tracks issues in the ticketing system for timely resolution.
• Maintains and operates computer systems and network connectivity.
• Provides technical support and guidance to users.
• Performs light network administration duties.
