Job summary

PGTEK seeks a Datacenter Hardware Technician to support and maintain Dell server infrastructure in a high-demand, onsite datacenter in Ellendale, ND. The role requires 100% onsite presence, the ability to lift up to 65 lbs, and occasional shift rotation with a first shift focus.

Responsibilities include hardware break/fix, diagnostics, ticket management, and collaboration with team members to ensure uptime and efficient operations. Salary ranges from 80k to 90k, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience racking, stacking, and servicing Dell servers in a datacenter setting.

Responsibilities

• Hardware Maintenance & Repair: Break/fix on Dell servers, replace GPUs, NICs, memory and other components.
• Ticket Management: Track, prioritize, and resolve hardware-related service tickets.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Identify and resolve hardware issues using server knowledge.
• Customer Service & Communication: Maintain professional communication with team and stakeholders.
• Physical Datacenter Work: Lift up to 65 pounds, climb ladders, work in a physically demanding environment.
• Team Collaboration: Work with technicians and other departments to meet deployment goals.
• Quality & Precision: Ensure repairs meet high standards of accuracy and reliability.
