Job summary

Arcanum Infrastructure, LLC is seeking an onsite Instrumentation & Control System Engineer in Baytown, TX. The role focuses on designing, programming, and optimizing complex DCS and SIS for 24/7 chemical facilities, with emphasis on safety and process integrity.

You will configure Honeywell Experion, implement SIS, perform LO PA risk assessments, and drive improvements across control strategies while coordinating with instrumentation & electrical teams onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, instrumentation, control systems engineering or related discipline.
• Five years of experience in DCS engineering and/or SIS engineer-related role in chemical facilities.
• Three+ years of Honeywell Experion DCS programming experience.
• CFSP or CFSE certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure and program Honeywell Experion and SIS systems onsite for continuous chemical processes.
• Implement and test SIS with interlock matrices and LO PA assessments.
• Diagnose faults, maximize asset reliability, and resolve software/hardware issues promptly.
• Maintain DCS/SIS including alarms, safety compliance, and functional safety assessments.
• Develop Safety Requirements Specification (SRS) and perform SIL verification calculations when needed.
• Ensure IEC 61511 and industry safety standards compliance, document KPIs and support audits.
