Watts Water Technologies in Spindale, NC is seeking a DC Supervisor to lead daily warehouse and production operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. You will oversee 25+ direct reports under the Distribution Center Manager, driving continuous improvement and on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes standard work, Lean initiatives, and cross-training to create flexible teams capable of meeting production needs while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in distribution, warehousing or manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Solid understanding of supply chain, sales, and financial processes.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to build, develop, and mentor high-performing teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
• Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan layout of warehouse and storage areas considering turnover, size, weight, and items stored.
• Advise employees on care of items received, stored, and shipped; determine methods and use of equipment.
• Review records for accuracy and compliance; assess stock levels adequacy.
• Manage production and warehouse efficiency to meet schedules and delivery.
• Establish production and quality control standards, budgets, and cost metrics.
• Ensure SOPs/work instructions are followed to improve efficiency.
• Select, train, and direct employees per Watts practices; coach or take corrective action.
• Document disciplinary actions per policies.
• Track and improve key performance measures in production.
• Maintain daily management visual boards to control production and communicate results.
• Obtain feedback from customers to understand needs and concerns.
• Ensure labor and machine capacities meet production schedules and goals.
• Lead safety compliance, improvements, and awareness per guidelines.
• Investigate line-down issues and drive root-cause and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with production scheduler to meet OTIF and due-date targets.
• Work with quality to keep scrap under control.
• Cross-train staff for interchangeable roles across assembly/warehouse.
• Leverage Lean Manufacturing: 5S, Standard Work, Tier Daily Management, Kaizen, RCA.
