Job summary

Carhartt, Inc. is hiring an Industrial Engineering Manager to lead the Distribution Engineering team at the Hanson, KY facility.

The role focuses on process improvements in automation, maintenance, and overall distribution performance within the RCV distribution center. You will drive initiatives from concept through implementation, develop new equipment and systems, and support ongoing operations across Carhartt’s distribution network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
• 5–8 years engineering/operation/maintenance experience in distribution
• 3+ years leading technical team members
• Experience with WMS (Manhattan) and CMMS is preferred
• Strong data analysis and engineering standard development skills
• Ability to read blueprints and work with automation systems

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Distribution Engineering team.
• Partner with MHE providers to design and install equipment.
• Maintain engineered standards via time/frequency studies and Labor Management System accuracy.
• Develop and manage capital budgets and projects.
• Oversee maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize asset reliability.
• Interact with contractors/vendors for bids and pricing negotiations.
• Drive KPIs and ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.
