Job summary

Maymont Homes in Charleston, SC is seeking a Data Scientist to leverage Python, SQL, and Excel to build predictive models and deliver data-driven insights across asset management and operations.

The role owns the end-to-end modeling lifecycle, from problem definition to deployment and performance evaluation, and requires strong communication skills to translate technical findings for business audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a quantitative field.
• 3+ years of data science/analytics experience.
• Strong Python, SQL, and Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with Git and Agile development.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Asset Management and Operations teams to handle ad hoc data requests and support portfolio questions.
• Build predictive models in Python to address defined business problems (pricing, occupancy, performance) with senior input.
• Deploy models into production and monitor performance with Data Engineering support.
• Summarize findings into clear, concise takeaways for business partners.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure scalable, trusted analytical datasets.
