Job summary

Accelera is seeking a dedicated data center technician for a 6-12 month onsite assignment in Dulles, VA to support core data center operations. You will manage the physical installation, configuration, decommissioning of server and networking hardware, perform rack-and-stack tasks, and ensure reliable connectivity through fiber and copper cabling.

Qualifications

• Proven background in IT infrastructure or data center maintenance.
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting and server deployment experience.
• Experience with rack-and-stack and structured cabling workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage the physical installation, configuration, and decommissioning of server and networking hardware.
• Execute rack-and-stack tasks alongside structured cabling projects.
• Install, label, trace, and diagnose fiber and copper cabling to ensure connectivity.
• Resolve hardware malfunctions and network hurdles to maintain uptime.
• Swap faulty components such as power supplies, memory, NICs, and drives.
• Provide remote-hands support by handling service requests and incidents.
• Oversee full hardware lifecycle from receiving to decommissioning, with proper records.
• Adhere to safety, security, and escalation protocols in all tasks.
