Job summary

MMI Engineered Solutions, located in Saline, MI, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to manage orders, coordinate with production, and support customer satisfaction in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will serve as the primary contact for assigned customers, handling ERP-based order processing, EDI, and portal management while communicating effectively with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and accurate information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Manufacturing or automotive industry experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems for customer setup, order management and shipping processes.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
• Experience with OEM EDI formats (X12 and EDIFACT) is preferred.
• Experience with DELMIAWorks (IQMS) ERP is a plus.
• Familiarity with OEM customer portals (e.g., Stellantis, Ford, GM, PACCAR, Mack/Volvo, International Truck) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
• Manage customer orders from receipt through shipment in DELMIAWorks ERP.
• Review daily EDI and manual orders and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Production Scheduling to align manufacturing with delivery requirements.
• Maintain customer web portals, routing guides, and labeling specifications.
• Keep customers informed of order status and changes to commitments.
• Assist with new product launches by setting up customer and item data in ERP/EDI.
• Monitor inventory and recommend adjustments to meet demand.
• Track and report customer service performance metrics, including on-time delivery.
• Troubleshoot EDI issues and liaise with the EDI provider.
• Collaborate with Sales, Production, Shipping, and Product Launch teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and update procedures.
