Job summary

MMI Engineered Solutions is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our Operations team in Saline, MI. The role focuses on managing all aspects of shipping, maintaining records, and supporting hands-on work including forklift loading/unloading. The shift is Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm.

You will ensure on-time delivery with attention to detail, collaborate with team members, and uphold safety in a manufacturing environment. The company offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is required.
3–5 years of shipping and receiving experience.
2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Forklift experience required.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

Communicate priorities and shipment status between Shipping Clerks and Shippers.
Manage the shipment of products, materials, and supplies including scheduling, tracking, and documentation.
Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Send Advance Shipping Notifications (ASN) to applicable customers.
Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) for all outgoing finished goods.
Track, trace, and update the status of shipments.
Load and unload trucks using a forklift as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
Support urgent orders to ensure shipments leave within 24 hours.
Prevent shipments that do not meet quality standards or are in substandard containers.
