MMI Engineered Solutions in Saline, MI is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the primary contact for assigned automotive and industrial customers. You will work cross-functionally with production, scheduling, sales, and engineering to support satisfaction and on-time delivery.

This 100% onsite role emphasizes precise order management in DELMIAWorks ERP, EDI review, and maintaining customer portals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Manufacturing or automotive customer service experience preferred.
• Experience using ERP systems for customer setup, order management, and shipping.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; detail-oriented and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring exceptional service and overall customer satisfaction.
• Manage customer orders from receipt through shipment, ensuring accuracy within DELMIAWorks ERP.
• Review daily EDI and manual orders, monitor sales order backlogs, and resolve order discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Production Scheduling to align manufacturing with customer delivery requirements.
• Maintain customer web portals, shipping requirements, routing guides, labeling specifications, and compliance documentation.
• Keep customers informed of order status, delivery schedules, delays, and changes to commitments.
• Support new product launches by setting up customer and item information within ERP, EDI, and inventory systems.

We're looking for a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships. You will serve as the primary point of contact, working cross-functionally with production, scheduling, sales, and engineering to support customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring exceptional service and overall customer satisfaction.
• Manage customer orders from receipt through shipment, ensuring accuracy within DELMIAWorks (formerly IQMS) ERP.
• Review daily EDI and manual orders, monitor sales order backlogs, and resolve order discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Production Scheduling to align manufacturing with customer delivery requirements.
• Maintain customer web portals, shipping requirements, routing guides, labeling specifications, and compliance documentation.
• Keep customers informed of order status, delivery schedules, delays, and changes to commitments.
• Support new product launches by setting up customer and item information within ERP, EDI, and inventory systems.
• Monitor finished goods inventory and recommend inventory adjustments to support customer demand.
• Track and report customer service performance metrics, including on-time delivery and sales order backlog.
• Troubleshoot EDI processing issues and serve as the primary contact with the EDI provider.
• Work closely with Sales, Production, Shipping, and Product Launch teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process improvements and implementing effective solutions.
• Assist with maintaining customer service procedures and contingency plans.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
• Customer service experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment preferred.
• Experience working with ERP systems for customer setup, order management, and shipping processes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
• Experience with OEM EDI (X12 and EDIFACT formats) is preferred.
• Experience with DELMIAWorks (IQMS) ERP is a plus.
• Familiarity with OEM customer portals such as Stellantis, Ford, GM, PACCAR, Mack/Volvo, or International Truck is a plus.

Work Environment & Expectations

• Primarily office-based with occasional time spent in the manufacturing environment and shipping department
• Requires moderate walking and standing while supporting cross‑functional operations.
• Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
