Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico is seeking a Custodian to maintain clean and orderly conditions in designated laboratories, shops, or offices. The role involves standing, walking, lifting light to moderate loads, and performing routine cleaning tasks across restrooms and common areas.

You will follow team cleaning methods, read and follow instructions, and may be required to obtain a DOE Q-level security clearance. This is a temporary LTE posting with benefits and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform Team Cleaning Methods.
• Ability to walk, crouch, stoop, reach, carry, and lift for long periods.
• Read and accurately follow instructions from oral and written sources.
• Must be test qualified in Reading/Vocabulary, Reading/Comprehension, Math/Basic Skills, Oral Directions, and General Reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and orderly condition of laboratories, shops, and offices.
• Empty waste receptacles and clean floors by sweeping, mopping, and buffing.
• Disinfect fixtures and restrooms; replenish soap and paper supplies.
• Follow safety procedures and read product directions and job orders.
