Job summary

IntelliPro is seeking a Cost Controls Specialist to support a large capital generator outage project in Mount Storm, WV. The role partners with Project Managers and Project Controls to manage financial, contractual, and accounting processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include creating POs, processing COs, developing forecasts, tracking budgets and invoices, and ensuring compliance with milestones.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience supporting capital projects with cost controls and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, accruals, invoices, and contract tracking.
• Hands-on experience with SAP (financial/accounting transactions preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerApps).
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support project procurement by creating and tracking Purchase Orders (POs).
• Process and maintain Change Orders (COs).
• Develop and maintain monthly cost forecasts.
• Track project budgets, invoices, accruals, and financial performance.
• Monitor contract milestones and funding levels.
• Assist with project closeout activities, including asset unitization and retirement.
• Support capital budget development and Project Request Forms (PRFs).
• Assist with audit documentation and financial reporting.
• Generate SAP cost reports and analyze forecast vs. actual spending.
• Recommend process improvements and support project controls activities.
