The Opportunity:
In this role, you will report to the supervisor of site services and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Hourly Rate: $24
Shift: Monday - Friday, 10:30 am - 7 pm or 11 am - 7:30 pm, including break

What we're looking for
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred
- Experience : 3+ years of experience in inventory management, material handling, or warehouse operations and at least 1 year in a coordination or team-support capacity
- Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience
- Proficient use of ERP systems (SAP MM, Oracle or equivalent) for inventory transactions, purchasing, and reporting
- Experience with barcode scanning, warehouse management systems and handheld devices
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts) and Outlook
- Understanding of FIFO, FEFO, lot tracking, expiration management and cycle counting
- Demonstrated ability to generate operational reports and track KPIs
Preferred
- Advanced ERP proficiency including purchase requisition management and report customization
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma tools (5S, value stream mapping, workflow analysis)
- Knowledge of hazardous materials shipping and receiving regulations
- Experience coordinating sourcing and procurement activities for laboratory materials
- Familiarity with customer service metrics, SLA reporting and business review presentations
- Forklift and powered industrial truck operator certification
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt

In this role you will:
Operational Coordination and Task Allocation
- Coordinate daily work assignments for across bands Associates based on priorities, volumes and deadlines
- Balance workloads across team members during peak periods, absences and volume fluctuations
- Monitor task completion and address bottlenecks or delays in real time
- Streamline operational workflows by identifying redundant steps and proposing process improvements
- Contribute directly to inventory tasks alongside the team, maintaining hands-on operational involvement
- Coordinate shift handoffs to ensure continuity of operations and pending task visibility
- Communicate daily priorities, schedule changes and operational updates to the team
Sourcing and Material Replenishment Coordination
- Coordinate sourcing of consumables, chemicals, solvents, reagents and other materials for customer operations
- Monitor stock levels against par levels, reorder points and usage patterns to prevent stockouts
- Generate and manage purchase requisitions and reorder recommendations within ERP systems
- Coordinate with suppliers on order status, lead times, expediting requests and delivery scheduling
- Identify alternative sources or substitute products when primary items are unavailable or backordered
- Track open orders and follow up on overdue deliveries to maintain supply continuity
Critical Material Management and Processing
- Oversee the management and processing of critical materials used in laboratory and production environments
- Coordinate storage activities ensuring chemical compatibility, segregation and regulatory compliance
- Monitor and enforce FIFO, FEFO and lot-based rotation across all material categories
- Coordinate disposition of expired, damaged, recalled or non-conforming materials per site procedures
- Conduct periodic storage area inspections and coordinate corrective actions for findings
Data Collection, Documentation and Reporting
- Collect, document, organize and report operational data including inventory metrics, activity records and service levels
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reports for supervisor and customer stakeholders
- Track and report KPIs including inventory accuracy, fill rate, turnaround time and safety metrics
