Job summary
Thermo Systems is seeking a Control System Engineer to design, develop, test, and install control system solutions onsite in Reston, VA. You will lead hardware/software design, FATs, and field installation, collaborating with project leads and leadership.
The role requires a Bachelor of Science in a relevant engineering field and 2+ years of experience, including 1–3 years in control systems. Travel up to 50% may be required, with a competitive salary and annual bonus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar with relevant technical experience.
- Typically 2+ years total experience.
- 1-3 years as Control System Engineer or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Works on control system projects; leads hardware and software design, development, integration, testing, and installation support.
- Lead and perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams.
- Demonstrate ability to lead other project members during installation, start-up, and commissioning.
- Provide instrumentation specifications for basic control systems and ensure IT/network considerations are addressed.
- Communicate effectively with customers and follow site standards and procedures.
