Actalent in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Superintendent of Construction to lead ground-up commercial self-storage projects from sitework through completion. You will oversee on-site activities, ensure safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives, and coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, PMs, owners, and design teams.

This fully onsite role requires at least 5 years of supervision on multi-building or light industrial projects, strong knowledge of sitework, foundations,

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of commercial construction supervision experience.
• Experience with sitework, foundations, concrete, steel, and building envelopes.
• Strong leadership and communication on fast-paced sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site construction activities for commercial self-storage projects from sitework through project completion.
• Ensure safety, quality, budget, and schedule goals are met throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and daily field operations to keep the project moving efficiently.
• Monitor project schedules, track progress, and proactively resolve construction issues to maintain milestones and deadlines.
• Conduct regular quality control inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specs, codes, and owner expectations.
• Lead site safety efforts, including OSHA practices and daily safety meetings.
• Maintain clear communication with PMs, owners, and design teams regarding status, issues, and changes.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports and construction records.
• Coordinate sitework, foundations, concrete, structural steel, pre-engineered metal buildings, and envelope construction.
• Identify risks or delays early and implement corrective actions to stay on schedule and budget.
