HazTek Safety Management is seeking a Construction Safety Professional in Upper Township, NJ to oversee daily site safety and support regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes collaboration with project teams to maintain a proactive safety culture across active construction sites.

Ideal candidates have construction safety experience, strong knowledge of excavation and trenching operations, and the ability to lead safety trainings and audits.

Qualifications

• Experience managing safety on active construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of excavation and trenching hazards and protective systems.
• OSHA 30 and First Aid certifications.
• Familiarity with OSHA construction standards and safety requirements.
• Experience conducting inspections, leading safety meetings, and supporting incident investigations.
• Ability to identify hazards and communicate corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily onsite safety oversight for construction activities and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.
• Conduct routine site inspections and audits to identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and follow through on resolution.
• Monitor excavation, trenching, heavy equipment operations, and other high-risk activities to ensure appropriate safety measures are in place.
• Implement and maintain site-specific safety plans, policies, and procedures.
• Review job hazard analyses and assist project teams with planning work safely.
• Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and employee training.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, document findings, and support corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, incidents, and other safety activities.
• Partner with project leadership, contractors, and field personnel to address safety concerns and reinforce safe work practices.
• Verify proper use of personal protective equipment and intervene when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observed.
