Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Safety Specialist to support day-to-day safety operations on an active project site. You will spend significant time in the field with crews and site leadership to identify hazards, reinforce safe work practices, and ensure OSHA, client, and project safety requirements are met.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of safety experience, OSHA 30, and hands-on ability to conduct audits, lead toolbox talks, and investigate incidents.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional safety experience in construction, industrial, critical facilities, or similar environments.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Hands-on experience conducting jobsite safety inspections and audits.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and general construction safety practices.
• Experience reviewing JHAs/AHAs or similar pre-task safety documentation.
• Ability to communicate with field personnel, contractors, subcontractors, and site leadership.
• Ability to identify unsafe conditions and drive corrective actions with field teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety audits, jobsite inspections, and field observations.
• Identify hazards and unsafe practices; drive corrective action.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA, client, and site-specific safety requirements.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, orientations, and training sessions.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns; document and follow up.
• Review JHAs, AHAs, pre-task plans before work begins.
• Monitor and enforce PPE requirements on the jobsite.
• Support safety programs including LOTO, fall protection, confined spaces, and high-risk activities.
• Collaborate with field crews, supervisors, contractors, and site leadership to promote safety.
• Maintain safety documentation and communicate hazards and corrective actions to site personnel.
