Job summary

Radford University is seeking a Project Inspector/Clerk of the Works to be the on-site representative for capital and non-capital construction projects. You will provide daily inspections, generate status reports, and coordinate with contractors and third-party inspectors to ensure compliance with Radford University standards.

This role requires strong communication, scheduling, and QA/QC skills, plus the ability to manage multiple projects across campuses.

Qualifications

Experience with complex building and infrastructure projects across diverse building construction methods.
Experience with construction scheduling, logistics, safety, and QA/QC.
Experience with design/construction documents and building codes.
Experience with contractual expectations and responsibilities, especially means & methods.
Skilled in clear, timely, and helpful communication.
Demonstrated conflict resolution and team-building skills.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Ability to maintain professional relationships with associates, subordinates, contractors, designers, and the university community.

Responsibilities

Provide daily inspections for quality assurance of construction projects.
Prepare daily reports on project status and coordinate with contractors for QA/QC.
