Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. seeks a Construction Project Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of electrical construction projects and lead a high-performing team.

You will manage planning, execution, and financial performance to ensure successful project outcomes and client satisfaction on complex commercial projects. You will coordinate with Superintendents, engineers, and clients while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred.
• Typically requires 5+ years of related experience managing Electrical Construction on Commercial or Industrial Projects.
• 5+ years of management experience, including client interface and supervision.
• Ability to manage projects and/or project scopes from approximately $15M to $30M in monetary value.

Responsibilities

• Own the financial performance of the project, including cost control, forecasting, margin protection, and overall commercial success.
• Coordinate and lead daily/weekly planning meetings with Superintendents, General Foremen, and Project Engineers to review progress and plan resources.
• Review estimates, drawings, and specifications to understand scope and schedule requirements.
• Develop and maintain monthly job cost updates, cost-to-complete assessments, and contingency planning.
• Create, review, negotiate, and approve change orders with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise activities of both company crews and subcontractors.
• Identify risks related to design gaps, scope conflicts, procurement delays, constructability issues, and schedules.
• Maintain a project risk register and conduct risk review meetings.
• Monitor leading indicators to anticipate challenges and prevent delays.
• Represent and enforce contract requirements and ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
