Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Engineer to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for projects of varying size. You will lead project staff, ensure schedule adherence, and maintain cost controls across contracts.

The role requires strong MS Office skills, knowledge of AGTEK Take-off and Primavera, and a track record of delivering engineering support on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 4+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office products; AGTEK Take-off and Primavera Scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Develop and maintain project schedule to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Oversee project engineering assignments to ensure timely completion within budget.
• Ensure compliance with company, contract and schedule requirements for engineering activities.
• Provide technical support in planning, quality control, design interpretation, construction methods, and constructability reviews.
• Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other control documents.
• Represent company in client and project meetings for effective communication.
• Develop and maintain all job reporting and logs for project compliance.
• Supervise, direct, and mentor project staff to ensure development and adherence to standards.
