Job summary

Pogue Construction in Texas is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support complex, fast-paced projects with a focus on safety, quality, and reliability. You’ll be stationed onsite and work closely with subcontractors, architects, and the PM team to track submittals, RFIs, logs, and schedules.

Ideal candidates have hands-on commercial construction experience with a General Contractor, plus proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, or Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Qualifications

• Hands-on construction experience with a General Contractor required or preferred.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors, architects, and PM teams.
• Familiarity with submittals, RFIs, logs, and project closeout processes.
• OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stationed onsite or visit job site regularly.
• Collect submittals from Subcontractors and prepare submittal registers.
• Review, process, and send RFIs to architect; distribute responses.
• Update drawings and logs; coordinate with CM/PM team on schedules.
• Assist with pay applications and pricing from subs.
• Support scheduling of subcontractors and material deliveries.
• Complete project closeout efficiently and prepare Closeout Manual.
