Onsite Construction Manager – Turbines & Complex Projects

Job summary

ANDRITZ is seeking a Site Manager to lead on-site turbine and generator installations in Charlotte, NC. You will direct installation work, be present during erection, and ensure correct guidance until field tests are completed.

You will coordinate safety, QA, and daily progress with the project team. Key duties include hiring and directing site labor and subcontractors, controlling costs and inventories, maintaining client relations, managing schedules, and preparing site logs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in turbine and generator field work.
• Experience on large, complex construction projects.
• Proven steel structures, welding, and masonry experience.
• Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations, quality plans and procedures.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to maintain client relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in claims management is a plus.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 Certifications.
• Naval Facilities Engineering Command or Army Corps of Engineers CQMC certification.

Responsibilities

• Hire and manage site labor and subcontractors.
• Manage labor hours allocated to the project.
• Manage site costs and inventories.
• Primary contact to union dispatcher where applicable.
• Manage supervision team.
• Manage site schedule and provide feedback to project manager/scheduler.
• Health, safety and environmental management.
• Prepare site logs using ANDRITZ tools and procedures.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings.
• Complete punch-list items.
• Manage customer relations on site.
• Manage claims and change orders; maintain site condition documentation.
• Adhere to customer/ANDRITZ requirements.
• Assist in controlling project costs, cost recovery, administration and project execution.
• Report status to in-office project managers.
• Report to manager all problems and actions that need resolution.
• Periodic reporting.
