Job summary

Keller in Asheville, NC is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead field operations on a long-term project. This onsite role oversees superintendents, foremen, crews, and equipment, partnering with the Project Manager to deliver the work safely, on schedule, and on budget.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy civil or foundation construction experience.
• Strong experience in deep foundations and earth retention preferred.
• Experience with project costing, scheduling, and earned value reporting.
• Must be able to work onsite in Asheville, NC for the duration of the project.

Responsibilities

• Lead all onsite field operations, including oversight of superintendents, foremen, crews, subcontractors, and equipment
• Partner with the Project Manager to build and maintain the project schedule, sequence work into logical phases, and hit milestones
• Determine labor, rig, and equipment requirements and resource-load the schedule for foundation and earth retention scopes
• Track production, cost, and earned value against the budget and flag variances with recovery plans
• Review plans, specs, geotechnical reports, and contract documents to ensure field teams build to them
• Own site safety and compliance with Keller’s safety program and regulations
• Coordinate daily with the GC, owner’s representatives, engineers, and inspectors on sequencing and QA/QC
• Manage field issues and document impacts for change management
• Recruit, develop, and evaluate superintendents and craft workers
• Prepare progress reports and lead inspections to meet quality and safety standards
