Geotechnical Project Lead – Asheville

Job summary

Keller, a world leader in geotechnical construction, seeks an experienced Assistant Project Manager for the Asheville, NC location. You will drive bid development, risk assessment, and client relations while coordinating with pre-construction and field teams to ensure profitable, on-time delivery.

You will oversee designs, submittals, material ordering and scheduling, negotiate contracts, and monitor budgets and safety compliance per Keller policies and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 5 years geotechnical or construction experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in piling, shoring and grouting operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies new opportunities and builds client relationships with management support.
• Assembles proposals including risk assessment, estimating, engineering, writing and site visits.
• Negotiates contracts and ensures contract requirements are understood.
• Coordinates with pre-construction team as needed.
• Manages risk, planning, budgeting and project execution to maximize profitability.
• Tracks changes and escalates where necessary.
• Monitors financials, A/R and project metrics throughout the project.
• Ensures safety and quality per Keller policies and OSHA.
