A construction firm specializing in federal projects is seeking an experienced Onsite Construction Manager for healthcare construction projects in the United States. The ideal candidate should have over five years of construction supervision experience, particularly with federal projects, and be willing to work onsite full-time. Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in construction supervision, with at least three (3) years managing federal projects under USACE, NAVFAC, VA, GSA, or similar.
  • Up-to-date certifications preferred: OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, EM 385‑1‑1.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain necessary clearances/badging for secure government sites.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as onsite construction leadership for federal projects.

  • Support safety inspections and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in quality oversight and project documentation.
  • Proactively identify issues, risks, or constraints and help drive practical, field-oriented solutions
  • Support schedule adherence, progress tracking, and documentation
  • Assist with the coordination of subcontractors and the sequencing of work; support documentation, daily reporting, and field records as required
  • Assist the Superintendent and Project Manager with field oversight and issue resolution
  • Assist with implementation and enforcement of project safety plans and EM 385‑1‑1 requirements
  • Support safety inspections, hazard identification, and corrective actions
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and compliance documentation as required
  • Reinforce VALIANT’s commitment to safe work practices and accountability on site
  • Assist with field quality oversight; inspections, documentation, and compliance with Quality Control Plans
  • Help ensure work conforms to contract documents, plans, and specifications

Onsite Construction Manager – Federal Construction (USACE, VA, GSA)

Overview

VALIANT Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Onsite Traveling Construction Manager to support U.S. Federal Government Healthcare Construction Projects ranging from $10M to $50M. This is a field-based, onsite leadership role responsible for supporting daily project execution, coordination, safety, and compliance on active federal jobsites.

This position is intentionally flexible and may function, in whole or in part, as an Onsite Project Manager, Superintendent support, Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), or Quality Control support depending on project needs. The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder who thrives in the field, understands federal construction environments, and is comfortable stepping in wherever support is needed to ensure safe, high-quality execution.

This is not a remote or desk-only role. Consistent onsite presence is required.

Key Responsibilities
Field Leadership & Project Support
  • Serve as onsite construction leadership supporting the daily execution of federal projects
  • Coordinate field activities, subcontractors, inspections, and site logistics
  • Work collaboratively with Superintendents, Project Managers, Quality Control Managers, and safety staff to support project objectives
  • Participate in onsite meetings, reporting, and coordination with Owners, Government Representatives, and internal teams
  • Proactively identify issues, risks, or constraints and help drive practical, field-oriented solutions
Project Execution & Operations
  • Support schedule adherence, progress tracking, and documentation

Required Education and Experience
