Job summary

Olgoonik is seeking a Superintendent to provide on-site leadership for mid to large scale construction projects. You will supervise employees and subcontractors, manage crews, and maintain client relationships while coordinating safety, scheduling and quality control.

The role requires at least 5 years in construction supervision, preferred USACE experience, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent proven experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, with emphasis in superintendence involving mid to large scale construction projects.
• USACE experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is preferred, but extensive experience in lieu of degree will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide calculations on hours involved, develop construction project schedule, evaluates the quantity of materials needed, along with truck, plant and human resources required.
• Works closely with the Project Manager to communicate changing requirements, scheduling, subcontractor issues, and any other issues that arise during construction.
• Responsible for oversight of installation project safety compliance, bringing problems to the attention of the Project Manager, Safety Department or HR Manager.
• Directly supervises and coordinates all field activities of mid to large scale construction projects on their assigned base installation.
• Schedules and coordinates all project activities, supervising project crews to ensure quality workmanship, efficiency, employee satisfaction, morale, communication, commitment, teamwork and pride.
• Reviews and verifies crew time sheets and submit to Payroll on specified days.
• Recognizes and communicates any priority projects or problems, such as employee or job costing issues and/or issues from the client.
• Works closely with the Contractor Quality Control Officer and Site Safety Health Officer to ensure project success.
