Job summary

NEI General Contracting in Chattanooga, TN, seeks a seasoned Superintendent to oversee all on-site construction activities, safety, scheduling and coordination with subs and suppliers. You will partner with the Project Manager to create and maintain the master schedule and ensure quality control across trades.

The role requires strong field leadership, document management and effective communication with inspectors and client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Supervision and leadership on site
• Schedule creation and maintenance
• Quality control and safety leadership
• Contract comprehension and coordination with subs/suppliers
• Documentation and closeout management
• Coordination with inspectors and geotech/engineers when needed
• Communication and issue mediation with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Supervise all on-site project Sub-contractors.
• Act as quality control representative to correct deficient workmanship.
• Mediates subcontractor/supplier and staff issues.
• Administer first aid when necessary.
• Approve material requests and deliveries.
• Assist PM by overseeing field construction processes.
• Walk with 3rd party inspections for supervised activities.
• Report deficiencies and delays to the PM.
• Conduct walk-through inspections ensuring passage from local inspectors.
