Job summary

Southway Builders, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our regional construction team in Baltimore. You will mentor junior staff, support the Superintendent, and help maintain schedule, safety, and quality on our adaptive reuse and new construction projects.

Responsibilities include documenting daily field reports, coordinating inspections, managing RFIs, and leading portions of projects. Candidates should have 1-4 years on-site PM experience and be proficient with Procore and MS

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in construction management or engineering preferred.
1-4 years of Assistant Construction Superintendent/onsite PM experience.
Proficient in Procore and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs and other documents.
Awareness of building codes, OSHA and local safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Maintains project documentation and reports.
Manages daily field reports and meeting minutes.
Oversees safety and quality control; conducts safety observations and inspections.
Mentors Assistant Superintendents and leads portions of projects.
Coordinates RFIs, pre-construction and inspections as directed by the Superintendent.
