Job summary

Ardmore Roderick is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team at a client site in Florida. The role requires daily presence on site to oversee QA/QC, inspect construction activities, and ensure compliance with contract documents and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of field inspection experience in maritime or port infrastructure projects, strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Local candidates with outdoor/industrial site experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of construction inspection experience.
• Experience on maritime, wharf, harbor or port infrastructure projects serving large ships.
• Ability to conduct site inspections in outdoor/industrial environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.
• Good to great organizational skills and a team-player mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractor QA/QC to ensure compliance with contract documents and regulations.
• Perform daily field inspections to verify plans and specs.
• Serve as onsite field representative for Florida projects.
• Monitor workmanship, materials, and installation methods for quality.
• Maintain daily logs of work, labor, equipment, and site conditions.
• Ensure safety requirements (OSHA and client standards) are followed.
• Coordinate inspections with client schedules to minimize disruption.
• Review installed quantities to support progress payments.
