Job summary

SteerBridge is seeking a Construction Manager – Estimator to provide cost estimating, analysis, and project controls for diverse VA medical facility projects. You’ll act as the Government’s owner representative for cost decisions, ensuring accurate, defensible estimates across planning, design, procurement, and construction stages.

Ideal candidates have credentialed estimating experience or 3+ years in construction estimating, with strong MS Office and estimation software skills, and the ability

Qualifications

• Current credential as an Estimator or equivalent experience in construction estimating.
• Degree in estimating or related field or 3+ years of estimating work experience.
• Experience preparing and analyzing estimates, schedules of values, and change-order pricing on multiple projects.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance and VA badge.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Government's owner for construction estimating and cost control.
• Prepare and validate estimates across project phases (concept to closeout).
• Review plans, specs, proposals, and cost documentation for accuracy.
• Analyze pricing to identify discrepancies and ensure alignment with baseline values.
• Evaluate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs and contingencies.
• Maintain estimating files, cost databases, and backup documentation.
