Job summary

Native Village of Eyak in Cordova, Alaska is seeking a part-time Food Pantry Clerk to support FDPIR and TEFAP operations on-site. The role focuses on participant services, inventory, and monthly distributions, with emphasis on confidentiality and respectful, culturally informed service.

You will prepare food packages, assist with registrations and deliveries, and maintain accurate records in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers Certification required or obtainable within 30 days of hire.
• FDPIR Module Training Certification required or obtainable within 30 days of hire.
• Civil Rights Training Certification required or obtainable within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with fishing, hunting, subsistence activities, seafood processing, food handling, warehouse work or similar hands-on work preferred.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license and insurable driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist individuals and families accessing the Community Pantry.
• Prepare monthly food packages and participant orders.
• Assist with FDPIR, TEFAP, and other distributions.
• Enter participant, distribution, and inventory information into required systems.
• Maintain organized records and assist with outreach and reporting.
