Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America is seeking a Commissioning Field Superintendent to lead the commissioning field team onsite at Claude, TX, guiding startups of high-tech systems and coordinating with design professionals, clients, and subcontractors.

The role focuses on QA/QC, startup readiness, and collaboration across mechanical, electrical, and LV projects, with extensive experience required in hi-tech or semiconductor environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project commissioning management experience.
• Experience in industrial and/or hi-tech semiconductor projects.
• Familiar with medium and low voltage distribution, large generators, UPS installations.
• Experience organizing technical data; familiar with CSI specification system for construction.
• Ability to work with trade and craft personnel in field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate thorough understanding of commissioning to support startups.
• Implement and manage QA/QC programs and approve subcontractor QA/QC plans.
• Schedule and coordinate QC specialists; conduct onsite inspections.
• Lead startup meetings with multiple stakeholders to drive startup activities.
• Ensure safety precautions are in place before operating systems.
• Organize training of Owner's personnel in operations and maintenance.
