Job summary

Hoffman Building Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to commission and program DDC systems, following commissioning procedures and guidelines.

You will organize projects, direct electrical subcontractors, and coordinate with programmers to ensure proper startup and turnover to the Project Manager. Strong troubleshooting and independent work skills are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• AA degree in applied technology or equivalent experience.
• Experience with HVAC, electronics and control systems.
• Proficient in diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues.
• Familiar with ModBus, BACnet, LON, OPC and related protocols.

Responsibilities

• Organize commissioning projects from project management and plan workloads.
• Direct electrical subcontractors and verify proper installation.
• Coordinate with programming for modifications and startup results.
• Complete turnover to Project Manager for close-out.
• Update project managers on progress and deadlines; log daily work.
• Assist on-site verification to ensure system operability.
• Maintain project documentation and current commissioning sheets.
