Job summary

Fisica, Inc. is seeking a CNC Machinist in Simi Valley, CA to program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts.

The role requires 5+ years in manual and CNC machining, strong blueprint interpretation, and the ability to work independently on prints and schematics. The position is 100% onsite with a 9/80 schedule, offering competitive pay ($28.13–$52.16 hourly) and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Gibbs CAM 2024 software with 5+ years’ experience.
• Able to work independently with prints, sketches, schematics, memos and notes.
• Has own precision and hand tools.
• Minimum 5 years manual and CNC machining experience in high-technology manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years reading/interpreting blueprints and engineering specs.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication; works well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Program for one-off prototype parts or production parts run.
• Maintain tools and machines for optimum performance.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and precision instruments.
• Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on machines.
• Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials for machinery work.
• Monitor machines during machining processes.
• Machine parts to specifications using lathes and milling machines.
• Enter commands to CNC machine control media and edit as needed.
• Construct/repair parts and tooling per blueprints/ECN/ECO.
