Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA is seeking a CRS Clinical Trials Specimen Processing Specialist I to join the Clinical Trial Research Laboratory. You will collect, prepare, process, document, store, and ship clinical trial specimens following study protocols and regulatory requirements.

Reporting to the CRS Clinical Trials Specimen Processing Manager, you will work with lab staff, coordinators, and sponsors to ensure timely handling of specimens, maintain ALCOA+ records, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field, or equivalent lab experience.
• Associate degree with 1 year lab experience.
• High School diploma with 3 years lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Process clinical trial specimens per SOPs, including prep, labeling, storage, and shipment.
• Perform serum, plasma, and PBMC separation.
• Package and ship specimens to central labs on schedule.
• Maintain accurate specimen records per ALCOA+ and GDP.
• Assist with lab kit prep and inventory.
• Travel between campuses to retrieve and process specimens.
• Support after-hours specimen collection and processing schedules.
