Responsibilities

Prepares and dispenses medications for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Evaluates evidence-based literature to optimize drug selection and therapy.
Ensures policies and procedures for safe medication use.
Performs clinical medication surveillance and reports adverse events.
Coordinates activities of pharmacy technicians in preparation and delivery of medications.
Counsels/Provides drug information to physicians, nurses, and patients.
Weighs and prepares sterile and non-sterile products.
Acts as a resource to healthcare professionals regarding therapies.
