Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Traverse City is seeking a senior leader to head the Clinical Informatics department onsite five days a week. You will guide staff development, performance management, and day-to-day operations while partnering with clinical and IT leaders to optimize EHR performance and patient safety.

The role focuses on workflow redesign, standardization of EHR practices, and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, business, healthcare, or related field; clinical background required.
8 years of Clinical Informatics experience.
Leadership and ability to influence stakeholders across organizational levels.
Experience with EHR implementation and optimization.
Cerner EMR/CPOE experience preferred.
Strong PM, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the Clinical Informatics department including staff development and performance management.
Advise clinical and operational leaders to optimize EHR performance, quality, patient safety, and efficiency.
Direct workflow redesign and process improvement initiatives.
Establish EHR best practices, standardization, and performance improvement strategies.
Partner with IT and clinical leadership to evaluate, implement, and optimize new technologies, system upgrades, and clinical applications.
