Job summary

Texas Organ Sharing Alliance (TOSA) seeks an Onsite Clinical Responder to manage referral activity, act as the first contact, and ensure seamless communication with hospital teams throughout the referral process. You will perform chart reviews, on-site huddles, and case progression while complying with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent health-science credentials or RN/LVN/Paramedic background.
• Experience in medical/critical care required.
• Proficiency in EMR systems (EPIC, Cerner, Meditech) preferred.
• Strong documentation and data-entry skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Triages organ referrals with focus on quality customer service.
• Performs on-site and phone referral evaluations.
• Assesses medical suitability using EMR data and health status.
• Obtains and maintains EMR access across hospitals.
• Collaborates with physicians for referral management from start to death declaration or DCD evaluation.
• Provides clinical updates to stakeholders throughout the process.
• Identifies legal next-of-kin per UAGA and state laws.
• Maintains relationships with staff at hospitals, transplant centers, and Tissue/Eye agencies.
