Job summary

American Health Imaging is hiring a Full-time Clinical Care Coordinator (Paramedic / Advanced EMT) at our Birmingham imaging center. The role provides onsite clinical support for contrast administration and serves as first responder during medical emergencies, coordinating with 911 as needed.

Under supervision of a licensed provider, you will support technologists, ensure patient safety, and maintain a positive patient experience while adhering to HIPAA and center protocols.

Qualifications

• Paramedic or Advanced EMT license/certification required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• IV credentials/competency required.
• Knowledge of MRI safety and imaging center procedures.
• Ability to follow HIPAA requirements and safety guidelines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to respond to emergencies calmly and effectively.
• Detail-oriented with reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to medical emergencies and provide life-support within scope.
• Administer medications and contrast as allowed by credentials.
• Coordinate with 911 and emergency personnel.
• Support technologists during scans and contrast administration.
• Prepare imaging rooms and assist patients on/off the table.
• Document assessments and maintain patient safety and experience.
• Ensure efficient patient throughput and schedule management.
• Maintain center cleanliness and safety.
