Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Registered Pharmacy Technician for an onsite clinic setting in Oakland Park, FL. The role emphasizes accurate prescription transcription, insurance verification, and patient service. Expect a 40-hour week with structured shifts, HIPAA-compliant record-keeping, and team collaboration.

We require a Florida license, board-approved technician training, and at least one year of pharmacy experience, plus strong MS Office skills and customer service focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Board-approved pharmacy technician training program completed.
• Valid Florida Pharmacy Technician License holder.
• At least 1 year in a pharmacy technician role.
• Experience in Customer Service or Data Entry.
• Knowledge of brand/generic names, dosing and day supply.
• Proficient in pharmacy operations: data/order entry, fulfillment, labeling, inventory, prior auths.
• Advanced Excel and Access skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound/outbound calls with strong customer service.
• Assist patients and caregivers with inquiries and referrals.
• transcribe prescriptions accurately into the system.
• Verify insurance and facilitate prior authorization requests.
• Update patient records in the pharmacy system.
• Coordinate care with patients, caregivers, and providers.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance in all data handling.
